This blog, the brainchild of five UWC Honours students who have been assigned a task to project manage a community based project of their choice. This assignment forms part of continuous evaluation in the Project Management [MAN720] module conducted by Percy Saungweme at the School of Business and Finance in the EMS Faculty. The demographic of the group is made up of five part-time students, two of which are living in UWC residence which currently houses approximately 3800 students. Thus the group decided to engage in a project that places it’s focus on the UWC student community.

SPONSORSHIP :-)))

We received awesome news today that Prudential Portfolio Managers (www.prudential.co.za) has agreed to donate R10 000 towards the UWC ResLife Skills Resource and Exchange Programme. WOW !!!

The Skills Resource and Exchange Programme is just one of the ways in which ResLife is reaching out to the UWC resident students at campus. SREP is there to assist students when they find themselves in a situation where they cannot 'make ends meet'. The programme assists in placing the students in part-time tutor or admin positions on campus and in return provides them with meeting the basics needs eg a meal.

Thank you Prudential for considering SREP !!!
