Welcome to the MAN720 blog!

The University of the Western Cape is located in the suburb of Bellville, Cape Town. Established in 1960, the university is alert to its African and international context as it strives to be a place of quality, a place to grow and a place to learn. It is committed to excellence in teaching, learning and research, to nurturing the cultural diversity of South African, and to responding in critical and creative ways to the needs of a society in transition.

This blog, the brainchild of five UWC Honours students who have been assigned a task to project manage a community based project of their choice. This assignment forms part of continuous evaluation in the Project Management [MAN720] module conducted by Percy Saungweme at the School of Business and Finance in the EMS Faculty. The demographic of the group is made up of five part-time students, two of which are living in UWC residence which currently houses approximately 3800 students. Thus the group decided to engage in a project that places it’s focus on the UWC student community.

Digital Content Gathering ...!

Hello,

So last week our team embarked on a content gathering mission! Content gathering for what ...? Well, gathering digital content for RESLife to use on the UWC website :-) The RESLife office is still very new and there is not a lot of exposure on who is part of the team. So we took it upon ourselves to arrange a photo shoot with the team, get the 'Head shots' and 'Team Shots'. We then also managed to get UWC Elearning team to shoot a 2min introductory video of Gretna Andipatin, who is the RESLife manager. Below are some of the pictures taken and we will post the video soon soon :-)

Thanks to all involved
